Carlton Ward Jr is the Founder and CEO of Wildpath, a role held since May 2022, and serves as an Explorer for National Geographic and a Contributing Photographer for The Nature Conservancy. Ward has maintained a career in conservation photography since 1999 through Carlton Ward Photography. In 2009, Ward founded the Florida Wildlife Corridor campaign, promoting the ecological importance of Florida's migration corridors. Additionally, Ward is a Founding Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers and has acted as a Trustee for the Lowry Park Zoological Society. Previous experience includes serving as a communications partner for The WILD Foundation and working as an environmental photojournalist for the Smithsonian Institution. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Ecology from the University of Florida, complemented by studies in Anthropology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Anthropology from Wake Forest University.
