Neeta Satam is an accomplished independent photojournalist and environmental scientist currently operating Neeta Satam Photography since January 2018. As an Associate Fellow at the International League of Conservation Photographers since May 2021, Neeta continues to engage in impactful visual storytelling. Previous experience includes serving as a Smith/Patterson Fellow at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in 2017, and as a visual journalist with the O.O. McIntyre Fellowship from 2016 to 2017. Early roles in the field include photojournalism at Columbia Missourian and environmental work at URS Corporation and TRC Companies, Inc., focusing on Superfund site investigations and remediation. Neeta holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism and multiple advanced degrees in environmental sciences and geology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, St. Xavier's College, and the University of Mumbai.
