Andreja Lenarcic

Andreja Lenarcic is an accomplished economist currently serving at the International Monetary Fund since August 2021. Prior to this role, Andreja was a Senior Economist and Economist at the European Stability Mechanism from September 2015 to July 2021, and an Economist in the Analysis and Research Department at the Bank of Slovenia from October 2011 to July 2015. Andreja's experience also includes a position as a PhD Intern in the Monetary Policy Stance Division at the European Central Bank in 2010 and as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Università Bocconi from September 2008 to May 2010. Andreja began a career as a Junior Analyst in the Fiscal Forecasting Department at the Ministry of Finance of Slovenia in 2004. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from Università Bocconi, a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from the University of Ljubljana, among other academic pursuits.
