Gareth Anderson is an experienced economist currently serving in the Office of the Managing Director at the International Monetary Fund since September 2018, with prior roles in various departments including the Middle East and Central Asia Department. Gareth's experience includes a position as a Stipendiary Lecturer in Economics at the University of Oxford and internships with the Bank of England and the International Monetary Fund. Previous work includes roles as an economist at the Bank of England and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Gareth holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Oxford, alongside an MPhil in Economic Research and a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
