Habtamu Fuje is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in prominent international organizations, currently serving as a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund since September 2020. Prior to this role, Habtamu worked as an Economist and an ETC Economist at The World Bank from March 2015 to September 2020, and held various consulting positions within the organization from 2009 to 2014. Additional experience includes working as an Economist at Optimal Solutions Group in 2012 and as a Research Coordinator at Harvard Kennedy School from 2010 to 2011. Habtamu began an academic career as a Lecturer at Addis Ababa University between 2005 and 2008.
