Mariapia Evelyn Carbajal is a seasoned macroeconomist with extensive experience in various prominent organizations, including the International Monetary Fund, where Mariapia serves as a Senior Analyst in the Western Hemisphere Department since August 2021. Prior roles include US Economist Consultant in the private sector, Program Manager and Macroeconomist for USAID, and short-term consultant at The World Bank. With a solid background in economic analysis across multiple regions, including the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Latin America, Mariapia has held positions at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and Bureau of Labor Statistics, among others.
