Jay Hakim

Jay Hakim has a strong background in data engineering, data science, and business intelligence. Jay is currently working as the VP of Data and Business Intelligence at Beyond Finance, Inc. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Data Engineering, Data Analysis, and Data Science at Vivid Seats LLC, where they implemented new analytics infrastructure, introduced self-service tools, and deployed a new business intelligence tool. Jay also worked as the Director of Data Engineering and Data Science at Raise, where they built transaction and analytic platforms using technologies like Airflow, Big Query, and Spark. Jay has experience leading teams and developing custom applications as the Director of Software Engineering at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Additionally, they have held managerial roles at Orbitz Worldwide, State Street Corp, and Paytrust, and has worked in technical positions at Information Paradigms Inc, AT&T Labs, Inc., and FedEx.

Jay Hakim obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Engineering from Indiana University Bloomington from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance & Computer Science from North Central College from 1988 to 1992. Jay also holds the certification of Oracle Certified Professional (versions 7 to 9).
