Mariel Acosta is a seasoned financial professional with over two decades of experience in various roles within financial management and analysis. Currently serving as a Financial Officer at the International Monetary Fund since November 2010, Mariel manages liquidity needs for the IMF Concessional Lending and Debt Relief Trusts and leads operations for critical program implementations. Previous experience includes the position of Assistant Vice President of Business Planning & Analysis at Citi, where strategic planning support for the Institutional Clients Group was provided. Mariel's career began as a Market Research Analyst at CODETEL/Verizon, followed by a role as Finance Commercial Supervisor at Kraft Foods Dominicana, where commercial policy execution was monitored. Mariel holds a Master's degree in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam and a Licenciatura in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo.
