Reza Boostani is an experienced economist currently serving as an Advisor at the International Monetary Fund since 2022. Prior to this role, Reza Boostani held various positions at the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran from February 2012 to June 2023, including Deputy Director of the Open Market Department, Senior Economist, Head of Division, and Economist. Reza Boostani also served as a Visiting Lecturer at Sharif University of Technology from September 2015 to September 2017 and worked as an Economist at the Plan and Budget Organization from April 2004 to December 2005. Reza Boostani holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Monetary Economics from the University of Southampton, a Master of Science (MS) in Economics from the University of Tehran, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from Shiraz University.
