Thiago Christiano Silva

Thiago Christiano Silva is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist at the International Monetary Fund, a position held since September 2024. Prior to this role, Thiago served as a Professor at Universidade Católica de Brasília from August 2018 to September 2024, teaching Finance, Data Science, Complex Networks, and Machine Learning. Additionally, Thiago has been a Researcher at the Central Bank of Brazil since November 2011, leading the Financial Stability Team within the Research Department from September 2016 onward. Thiago's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences focused on Machine Learning and Complex Networks from the University of São Paulo, complemented by postdoctoral research in both Finance and Computer Sciences at the same institution.
