Anny Yip-Ching Yu, Ph.D., currently serves as the Regional Migration Data Analysis and Research Officer at IOM - UN Migration, leading the Research & Analysis Team at the Regional Data Hub for Asia-Pacific since November 2020. Yu's extensive experience includes roles as a Data Analysis and Statistical Consultant at United Nations University-MERIT and affiliations as a PHD Fellow and Instructor, focusing on quantitative research in labor and migration economics and teaching courses on public policy analysis. Yu has also contributed to various organizations such as Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek and the World Health Organization, enhancing research outputs on immigrant welfare and social protection policies. Yu holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Governance for Development from Maastricht University and has a master’s degree from United Nations University-MERIT, with additional education in international affairs and translation.
