Julia Black

Julia Black is a Project Officer at IOM - UN Migration, with experience since September 2015 in supporting strategic decision-making, project development, research, and communications for the Strategy & Communications Unit at the Global Migration Data Analysis Centre. Previous roles at IOM include Project Coordinator for the Missing Migrants Project and Data Analyst. Julia also has a background as a Research Assistant at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and co-founded a non-profit organization that enabled children with special needs to attend summer camps in the San Francisco Bay Area. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Cinematography at CalTV. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Hertie School.
