Khai Yau Chua

Khai Yau Chua is currently serving as the Partnerships and Programme Coordinator at IOM - UN Migration, a position held since July 2024. Previously, Khai Yau Chua was the Director of Labor Programs and Senior Program Manager at the Responsible Business Alliance from July 2016 to July 2024, specializing in modern slavery and labor issues, and developing programs to protect migrant workers in the electronics sector. Prior experience includes working as a Project Coordinator at IOM from November 2011 to June 2016, where Khai Yau Chua engaged with various stakeholders to implement labor migration and counter-trafficking initiatives. As a Protection Associate at UNHCR from November 2007 to November 2011, advocacy efforts led to significant protection outcomes for persons of concern. Khai Yau Chua's earlier roles included a Compliance Officer at the Australian High Commission and a Regional Business Systems Analyst at HP. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in International Relations from UNSW and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the National University of Singapore.
