Martha Giannakopoulou

Martha Giannakopoulou is an experienced professional in urban planning and housing consultancy, currently serving as a Housing Consultant and Advisor at IOM - UN Migration since July 2022, and as the Head Design Expert at the United Nations since October 2021. Martha also holds positions as a Housing Expert for Catholic Relief Services, a UIA Expert with Urban Innovative Actions, and the Founder of If-untitled architects, roles Martha has maintained since April 2021, October 2019, and September 2003, respectively. Previous experience includes serving as an International Urban Expert with UNDP Moldova and an Urban Programme Manager for the Municipality of Athens, where Martha played a key role in the POLIS² pilot project. Additional notable contributions include urban consultancy for the Athens municipality and leading emergency housing initiatives for refugees. Martha's academic background includes an architecture degree from the Architectural Association and attendance at Athens College.
