IOM - UN Migration
Saamu Tui serves as the National Programme Officer at the IOM - UN Migration since June 2023, coordinating projects in Fiji, Vanuatu, and Samoa while liaising with the Government of Tuvalu and various stakeholders. Previous experience includes the role of National Project Coordinator for the Climate Security in the Pacific Project at UNDP from June 2021 to June 2023, and as National Project Assistant Officer in the Environment Department of Tuvalu from April 2020 to June 2021, where responsibilities included project communication planning and financial reporting. Additionally, Saamu contributed as a Local Consultant for the Tuvalu Coastal Adaptation Project Mid Term Review under UNDP and worked as a National Consultant on the Tuvalu Biodiversity Rapid Assessment Report. Saamu holds a Master's degree in Disaster Management from The University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Arts with a Graduate Certificate in Education from The University of the South Pacific.
