Vasileios Anastasopoulos

Vasileios Anastasopoulos is a seasoned professional in migration management and project coordination, currently serving as the National Project Officer for IOM - UN Migration in Greece and Cyprus since January 2024. Prior to this role, Vasileios was a Reception Officer with the European Union Agency for Asylum, seconded to the Hellenic Ministry of Migration and Asylum, from July 2021 to January 2024. Vasileios has extensive experience in project coordination, having previously managed AVRR projects for IOM - UN Migration, overseeing a team of approximately 100 in various cities from February 2013 to July 2021. Earlier roles include serving as an Administrative/Financial Officer for the Hellenic Police's European Return Fund and working in procurement and contracting at ATTIKO METRO. Vasileios holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Bedfordshire.
