Brenda Alwanyi

Brenda Alwanyi is an experienced professional actively engaged in various roles related to youth empowerment, gender issues, and health advocacy. Currently serving as a Youth Panelist for the Global Youth Mobilization - European Union Empowerment Fund, Brenda reviews applications for youth-led solutions. As the Founder Advisory Board Member at Lightup Impact and Executive Director of My Body My Body, their initiatives focus on addressing HIV/AIDS and promoting sexual health. Brenda holds the position of Program Manager at Dan Shieshie Foundation and acts as an Inside My Purse Ambassador with the International Partnership for Microbicides, a platform highlighting the experiences of young women. With prior experience as a Programmes Officer at Healthcare Assistance Kenya, Brenda coordinated projects on gender-based violence and women's health. Brenda is pursuing a Master of Arts in Gender and Development Studies at Kenyatta University.
