Nejib Friji

Director, Middle East & North Africa (mena) at International Peace Institute (IPI)

Nejib Friji has extensive work experience in the field of international peace and security. Nejib began their career in 1988 at the United Nations, where they held the position of Director. In 2015, Nejib joined the International Peace Institute (IPI) as the Director for the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region. Nejib also served as the Director of IPI MENA during this time. Nejib's expertise and leadership have greatly contributed to the promotion of peace and stability in these regions.

Nejib Friji attended the University of Tunis from 1975 to 1977, where they obtained a DEUG degree in English Language and Literature. Following this, they pursued Political Studies of English Speaking Countries at the University of Paris III from 1977 to 1979, earning a degree in Political Science and Government. Subsequently, Nejib enrolled in the University of New Castle in England for a Joint Master's program with Paris University in Political Science. However, specific start and end years for this degree are not provided.
