Humberto Collado

Humberto Collado is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international program management and strategic communications. Currently serving as Senior Program Manager at the International Republican Institute since September 2010, Humberto plays a key role in leading the Latin America and Caribbean division, overseeing strategy development, personnel management, funder compliance, and business development across various countries in the region. Previous roles include Program Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing international governance projects across numerous countries, and Program Officer/Acting Country Director in Mexico, Peru, and Guyana. Humberto also worked as an Independent Consultant and held positions at the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, focusing on Cuba-related initiatives and interagency communication. Humberto holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a certificate in Luso Culture.
