Joanna Nahorska

Associate Director, Public Affairs And Communications - Europe at International Rescue Committee

Joanna Nahorska is an experienced communications professional with a strong focus on global humanitarian issues, particularly in response to crises in Ukraine and Europe. Currently serving as the Senior Global Communications Officer for the International Rescue Committee, Joanna leads public affairs and manages media teams in critical regions. Previous roles include Global Media Adviser for the Norwegian Refugee Council and Communications Officer at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development, where Joanna developed communication strategies and managed international media relations. Joanna's background also encompasses positions in various organizations, including the European Endowment for Democracy and the European Movement International, where Joanna coordinated events and advocacy efforts. Joanna holds a Master's degree in Communication for Development from Malmö University and has pursued studies in English studies and Modern Greek studies at the University of Warsaw and other institutions.
