Kiryn Lanning serves as the Senior Director of Quality in Emergencies at the International Rescue Committee since 2014, aligning the Quality Section’s efforts with the EHAU Strategy Action Plan. Previous roles include Senior Technical Advisor for Emergencies, focusing on child protection and gender-based violence initiatives, and Child Protection Coordinator, where Lanning deployed to various countries for emergency response. Experience also includes working with ChildFund International as a Child Protection Technical Coordinator and as Program Manager for Nonviolent Peaceforce, overseeing child protection projects in Jonglei state. Lanning holds a Master of International Affairs and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont.
