Lina Sofia R. has extensive experience in the humanitarian and public health sectors, currently serving as the Global MEAL Practice Advisor at the International Rescue Committee since November 2016. Previous roles at the organization include Data and Monitoring Project Advisor, Specialist in Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Reproductive Health Program Manager. Lina also contributed to academia as a Graduate and Teaching Assistant at Columbia University’s Program on Forced Migration from January 2015 to May 2016 and worked as a Research Assistant at Rebuild Hope For Africa. Prior experience includes serving as an Unaccompanied Minors Legal Caseworker and Case Manager at Catholic Charities, as well as administrative and teaching roles in earlier positions. Lina holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology with a concentration in Latin American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
