Laura Hameed is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the biotechnology and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the International Rett Syndrome Foundation since April 2025, Hameed is also a Founding Member and Advisory Board Member of The Outlyer Group, and a Board Member at Drake Bank, contributing to growth initiatives for small businesses. Hameed has held executive roles at CureDuchenne and Columbus Children's Foundation, focusing on gene therapy treatments for rare diseases, and has previously led RoverMed BioSciences and GeneSegues Therapeutics in developing innovative drug delivery systems and cancer therapeutics. Hameed's educational background includes a Master of Arts from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Minnesota.
