Payel Ghosh Dastidar

Payel Ghosh Dastidar is a Senior GIS Specialist at the International Rice Research Institute since April 2023, previously serving as a Project Scientist in GIS for the Assam Agricultural University from October 2018 to April 2023, where involvement included the Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project. Prior to these roles, Payel worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the North Eastern Space Applications Centre from December 2017 to October 2018 and gained experience as a Trainee at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Indian Space Research Organization from August 2015 to September 2017. Payel Ghosh Dastidar earned a Master of Technology in Remote Sensing & GIS from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun, and holds both a Master of Science in Geography and Urban & Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Presidency University and Presidency College, Kolkata, respectively.
