Aldo Celasco

Aldo Celasco is a Senior Technical Manager at IRU since November 2018, responsible for leading the Secretariat function for various Groups of Experts focused on road safety, environmental issues, and dangerous goods. Celasco has extensive experience in policy and legislation related to commercial vehicles, with a key emphasis on sustainable operations for transport operators. Prior roles include Commercial Vehicle Director & ITS at ACEA, where Celasco represented the interests of commercial vehicle manufacturers to European institutions, and Homologation Manager at FPT Industrial, overseeing regulatory certification. Celasco’s educational qualifications include a PhD in Energetics from the Polytechnic of Turin and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova.
