Umberto de Pretto

Umberto de Pretto has extensive experience in international transport and commerce, currently serving as Secretary General of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) since February 1995, after holding the position of Deputy Secretary General. Prior to their role at IRU, Umberto de Pretto worked as Deputy Director at the International Chamber of Commerce from March 1991 to January 1995 and as a Legislative Assistant at the Canadian House of Commons from 1986 to 1991. Umberto de Pretto holds a degree from Carleton University, obtained between 1980 and 1985.
