International Senior Lawyers Project (ISLP)
The International Senior Lawyers Project provides pro bono legal assistance to governments, civil society organizations, and social enterprises in the Global South. ISLP’s leadership leverages global legal resources in alignment with client needs to support just, accountable, and inclusive development. We strategically mobilize highly experienced lawyers who advise our clients within carefully selected and structured projects, on an attorney-client basis in which the client is in charge. Our work spans five key focus areas to engage different strategies to help emerging economies make the most of economic development and to challenge both the economic loss caused by corruption, tax avoidance, inefficiencies, and power imbalances and the social harms caused by a failure to empower and respect the voices of marginalized communities. Our focus areas are: Natural Resource Management, Investment & Trade, Tax, Community-Inclusive Development, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and Media Law and Freedom of Expression.
