Rui Tang is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in machine learning and cytometry technologies. Currently serving as an ISAC Innovator on the Innovation Committee for the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry since December 2023, Rui collaborates with members to develop innovative solutions for biological challenges. Previously, as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at NanoCellect Biomedical, Inc. from January 2021 to March 2025, Rui led the AI roadmap initiative and managed technology risk while developing the VERLO Image-Guided Cell Sorter. Rui also has a strong academic background, holding a PhD and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC San Diego, with notable research projects in imaging flow cytometry and AI applications in cell analysis.
