Tânia Fernandes has gained extensive legal experience throughout their career. Tânia started as a Legal Clinic intern at Vieira de Almeida & Associados in 2011, where they focused on competition law. Tânia then completed a summer internship in banking litigation at SPSSilveira, Prates & Associados. In 2012, they worked as a Trainee Lawyer at Alves Pereira & Teixeira de Sousa RL, followed by a brief trainee position at Pedro Raposo & Associados in 2013. Tânia then joined Aldelia Middle East as a Contracts and Commercial Administrator from November 2013 to September 2014. Tânia currently holds positions at International SOS, where they have served as Legal Counsel for MENA and Africa since October 2014, and as Head of Legal for Africa since October 2019. Starting in November 2022, Tânia will take on the role of Head of Legal for Aviation and Maritime at International SOS.
Tânia Fernandes completed their education as follows:
- From 2012 to 2014, they pursued their Master's Degree in Law and Business at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
- Between 2007 and 2012, they obtained their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
- In 2009-2010, they participated in the Erasmus Programme at Stockholm University, focusing on Intellectual Property Law.
- Tânia Fernandes completed their high school education at Escola Secundária D.Filipa de Lencastre from 2005 to 2007.
- From 1995 to 2005, they attended Colégio Valsassina for their primary and secondary education.
Tânia also holds the CIPP/E certification from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals, obtained in 2022.
