David Puente

David Puente is an experienced academic leader currently serving as Associate Dean of Academics and Regional Vice President of Academic Affairs at WorldStrides since January 2018, and as Associate Vice President of Academics for The Education Abroad Network (TEAN) since January 2021. With a long tenure at International Studies Abroad (ISA) beginning in February 2003, David has held multiple leadership roles, including Associate Dean of Academics and Regional Vice President of Global Mobility, where responsibilities included promoting study abroad opportunities and developing marketing strategies for international programs. David's career also includes significant service as a Lieutenant in the US Navy, where deployment experience and operational leadership were undertaken aboard a nuclear cruiser, complemented by an extensive academic background culminating in a PhD in English and Comparative Literature from UC Irvine.
