Brendan O'Shannassy

Brendan O'Shannassy has extensive experience in the maritime industry, serving as Captain, Marine Pilot, and Consultant at Katana Maritime since September 2001. In addition, Brendan has been a Board Member and Chair of the Captain's Committee at the International Superyacht Society since December 2017, focusing on promoting excellence and sustainability in the global yachting industry. Brendan's prior experience includes roles in the commercial maritime sector from January 1997 to September 2001 and as a Naval Officer in the Royal Australian Navy from January 1988 to December 1996. Educational qualifications include an Advanced Diploma of Maritime Studies from the Western Australian Maritime Training Centre, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Science from the NSW Institute of Technology, a Graduate Diploma in Business from Curtin University, and studies at UNSW.
