Adel Darwish

Adel Darwish has worked as the Director of the ITU Regional Office for Arab States since June 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Bahrain Karting Club General Secretary at the Bahrain Motor Federation from January 2004 to March 2022. From May 2008 to August 2016, Adel was the Manager of Market and Competition and later the Head of International Relations at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority - Bahrain. Adel also held the position of Head of Corporate Business Development at Etisalcom Bahrain Company W.L.L from January 2006 to April 2008. Before that, Adel worked as the Product Marketing Manager at Batelco from an unspecified year to 2006. Their work experience started in 1998 at Bapco as a Trainee.

Adel Darwish completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Bahrain between 1994 and 2000. Adel then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration from Glamorgan University from 2004 to 2005. Prior to their higher education, they completed their secondary education at East Riffa Boys Secondary School from 1991 to 1993. Additionally, Adel Darwish obtained a certification in PMD Pro (Project Management for Development Professionals) from PM4NGOs in 2020.
