Chris Clark has a varied work experience spanning over several organizations. From 1994 to 1997, they worked as a Policy and Public Affairs Associate at the Canadian Council on Social Development, where they conducted research on income security and pension programs. In the Prime Minister's Office from 1997 to 2001, they served as a Policy Advisor, providing advice on social and economic policy issues. During this time, they focused on income security, pensions, and family policy, before shifting to technology, competition, pharma, and industrial policy. From 2001 to 2002, they worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Industry Minister's Office, where their responsibilities included advising the Minister on technology, competition, and industrial policy, as well as spearheading initiatives to bring broadband connectivity to rural communities. At CAE, they were the Manager of Business Development and Market Analysis in 2002, and at the International Telecommunication Union, they held various roles, including Head of Marketing and Partner Relations, starting in 2003. Their responsibilities at ITU included mobilizing efforts to expand ITU's membership beyond the traditional telecoms/ICT base, coordinating sponsorships, managing relationships with member organizations and partners, and implementing systems to improve member/partner engagement and revenues.
Chris Clark completed their post-graduate studies in Sustainable Business at the University of Cambridge from 2010 to 2011. Prior to this, they obtained an MBA from the University of Ottawa between 1992 and 1994. Chris also received a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Windsor from 1987 to 1992.
