Sira Montero Aparicio

Sira Montero Aparicio is a seasoned procurement officer with extensive experience in both legal and procurement roles. Currently serving at the International Telecommunication Union since July 2017, Sira previously held the position of Senior Procurement Officer at the World Intellectual Property Organization from July 2016 to August 2017. Sira's career began at the ITU, where roles included Procurement Officer and Legal Officer from September 2000 to June 2016, as well as an internship in September 1999. Additionally, Sira has been a qualified lawyer admitted to the Madrid Bar since June 2000. Sira's academic credentials include doctoral studies at Stockholm University, focusing on gender, law and economics, and international criminal law, complemented by education from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
