Luke Menzies

Director Of Communications at ITF

Luke Menzies has a diverse work experience that spans from 2009 to the present. Luke started their career as a Research Assistant at the Australian National University in 2009 and later worked as a Primary Investigator/Director at Long Conversations: Climate Knowledge Exchange in 2011. Luke then became a Tutor at the Australian National University from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they briefly worked as a Writer for No Funny Business - an Inspiring Australia initiative. Luke joined The Climate Institute in 2014 as a Digital Communications Manager and remained in this role until 2017. Since 2017, they have been working at the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) where they have held various positions including Digital Campaigner, Maritime Communications Manager, and currently serves as the Director of Communications.

Luke Menzies completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Science Communication at The Australian National University, from 2011 to 2018. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with Honours in Terrestrial Ecology from Murdoch University, between 2008 and 2009. Luke Menzies started their academic journey by pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Ecology/Zoology at the University of Melbourne from 2004 to 2006.
