Marc Broekema

Member Of The European Membership And Standards Recognition Board at International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC)

Marc Broekema is a seasoned professional in the field of valuation and advisory services, currently serving as Managing Director and Co-Head of Valuation Advisory Services for Kroll since July 2023. Since September 2020, Marc has held the position of Raad (plaatsvervanger) in de Ondernemingskamer at the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and has been an Assistant Professor at Leiden University, focusing on Corporate Valuation. Marc is also a member of the European Membership and Standards Recognition Board at the International Valuation Standards Council, contributing to the establishment of globally accepted valuation standards. Prior to these roles, Marc founded BFI, an independent business advisory firm, and worked as a partner at Talanton Valuation Services. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Business Valuation and Cognitive Bias from Leiden University and various degrees in valuation and mediation from prestigious institutions.

The IVSC is the global not-for-profit organisation responsible for advancing International Valuation Standards (IVS) and the global valuation profession. Our overriding objective is to grow and strengthen the worldwide valuation profession in the public interest.
