Charles Haas

Distinguished Fellow at International Water Association

Charles Haas serves as Vice President and a member of the Board of Trustees at the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists since 2008. Currently involved with multiple organizations, Charles is a distinguished fellow at the International Water Association and a commissioner for the Engineering Accreditation Commission at ABET. Charles has held various roles with the American Society of Civil Engineers, The National Academies, and other professional societies. At Drexel University, Charles is the LD Betz Professor of Environmental Engineering and head of the Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering department. Charles holds a PhD in environmental engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and previous degrees from Illinois Institute of Technology.
