Angel Konthoujam

Angel Konthoujam is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in gender equity and social inclusion across various sectors. Currently serving as the Gender Technical Advisor at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Angel facilitates gender and social inclusion in solar irrigation projects in South Asia. Previously, Angel worked at KPMG India as a Consultant, managing projects for the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the Ministry of Rural Development. Experience at UNICEF involved monitoring gender-related barriers to immunization, while work with the Government of Meghalaya included supporting sustainable development initiatives. Earlier roles included contributions to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, focusing on gender mainstreaming in health policy, and fieldwork with the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme. Academic credentials include an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and an MA from the University of Madras.
