As Chief Counsel, IWBI, Jodie counsels the IWBI team on legal matters, negotiates global transactions, liaises with key strategic partners and customers, guides strategic policies to protect proprietary assets and develop new products, and advises on technology and data protection matters.
Jodie brings her prior experience of advising corporate and nonprofit clients on complex commercial, technology, intellectual property, privacy and data security matters. Prior to joining IWBI, she counseled American International Group, Inc.’s various business units on technology and other corporate transactions, worked closely with global compliance groups and other stakeholders to guide company policies, and advised on the use and development of emerging technologies. Previously, as Senior Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, she advised clients on intellectual property, privacy and data security aspects of complex, global mergers and acquisitions, financings and strategic alliances; drafted privacy and other compliance policies for corporate clients; and handled commercial litigations and supervised discovery matters and motion practice. She began her legal career as a Law Clerk in the Commercial Division of New York Supreme Court. Jodie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, and she earned her juris doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and is admitted to practice in New York.
