Barry Leiba currently serves as the Director of Internet Standards at Futurewei Technologies, Inc., a position held since June 2009. In addition, Barry is a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Internet Society and serves as a Senior Technical Advisor for the Messaging, Malware, Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group. As a member of ICANN's Security and Stability Advisory Committee since January 2018, Barry contributes to internet governance. Barry also holds the role of Associate Editor in Chief for IEEE Internet Computing Magazine and is Principal and Chief Architect for Internet Messaging Technology. Barry has held several leadership positions within the Internet Engineering Task Force, including Applications and Real-Time Area Director and Applications Area Director. Barry was an Internet Architecture Board member from March 2007 to March 2009 and worked as a Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM Research Division from 1977 to February 2009.
