Belinda Elvan Nixon

Belinda Elvan Nixon has a diverse and expansive work experience, with roles in both the legal and educational sectors. Belinda Elvan is currently working at Internet2 as the VP, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, where they oversee corporate compliance matters, legal strategies, and government relations. Belinda Elvan is also a Member of the Board of Visitors at Georgetown University Law Center, as well as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Sidwell Friends School. In their previous role as a Partner at Perkins Coie LLP, they provided legal expertise. Belinda Elvan also has extensive experience working at the Federal Communications Commission, where they held various roles, including Deputy Division Chief and Acting Deputy Division Chief in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Prior to that, they worked as an Attorney-Advisor in multiple bureaus. Early in their career, they were an Associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Throughout their various roles, Belinda has demonstrated expertise in legal compliance, government relations, and policy implementation.
