Amanda Cavender has a diverse work experience in various roles within the animal care and veterinary industry. Amanda most recently worked as a Client Service Coordinator at Interpace Biosciences starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Community Cat Coordinator, Animal Care Manager, Admissions Counselor, and Veterinary Tech at Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh from June 2019 to September 2021. Amanda also worked as a Veterinary Assistant/Technician at Twinbrook Animal Clinic Inc from July 2018 to March 2021. Additionally, Amanda gained experience as a Seasonal Zookeeper at Virginia Safari Park in April 2018 and as a Dog Care Manager at The Dog Stop from December 2017 to April 2018. Amanda also held the role of Senior Team Lead: Animal Care at Animal Friends from July 2016 to December 2017. Amanda's earlier experience includes working as an Aquarist Intern at Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium from May 2014 to October 2017 and as a Wildlife Intern at Animal Rescue League Shelter & Wildlife Center in May 2016.
Amanda Cavender obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Conservation Biology from Thiel College. This period of education lasted from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Howland High School, earning their High School Diploma between 2008 and 2012.
