Marissa Hess started their work experience in 2013 at AMERICAN SYSTEMS where they worked as a Latent Print Technician. Their responsibilities included processing forensic material for latent prints and practicing efficient team approaches to minimize processing time. Marissa maintained proper chain of custody during their time there. In 2014, they moved on to The Bode Technology Group where they worked as a DNA Analyst I. Their responsibilities included processing forensic casework samples, analyzing and interpreting DNA results, and documenting and reporting DNA analysis reports and conclusions. Marissa then joined Interpace Diagnostics in 2017 and held the role of Senior Laboratory Technologist until 2020 when they became the Lead Laboratory Analyst.
