Doug Carruthers

Doug Carruthers has over 15 years of work experience in software engineering and design roles. Doug is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Interplay Learning since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Dandelion Energy from February 2018 to June 2022, where they were responsible for writing internal software tools for system design, monitoring, and data analytics to improve the geothermal installation software. Doug also has experience working as a Lead Software Engineer at Geo-Connections Inc. from February 2009 to February 2018, specializing in the design and maintenance of software products for geothermal HVAC systems. Before that, they worked at GeoPro, Inc. from February 2009 to February 2018 as a Web Designer/Graphic Designer, overseeing the development and maintenance of web content and tools for geothermal installations. Doug also has experience as an Engineering Intern at Daktronics in 2008 and as an Animation Intern/Web Designer at Keyframe from 2007 to 2008, where they gained experience in animation, resizing animations, and creating custom animations.

Doug Carruthers earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Fine and Studio Arts from Washington State University, which they attended from 1999 to 2003.
