Gary Kelly has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Gary started their career at Sony in 1994, where they worked as a Progressive Music Marketing Manager and later as a Marketing Manager. In 1998, they joined Epic Records as a Director of Sales, where they developed and implemented marketing and advertising strategies for artists such as Shakira and Rage Against The Machine. In 2003, they moved to Sony Music Entertainment as a Director of Sales, managing a team responsible for yearly sales exceeding $170 million. At Universal Music Group, from 2007 to 2010, they held the position of Vice President Sales, leading a team responsible for integrating physical, digital, and mobile sales and marketing strategies with major retail partners. Gary then joined Interscope Records, where they held several positions including Head of Sales, Head of Revenue and Digital Marketing, Executive Vice President/Chief Revenue Officer, and Chief Revenue Officer/Global Head of Streaming & Strategy. In these roles, they led teams focused on revenue generation, digital strategy, and channel marketing initiatives, collaborating with various partners in the streaming and subscription space.

Gary Kelly's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from USC Marshall School of Business. Prior to their MBA, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications from Cleveland State University.
