Nick Benson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nick started their career in 2005 as an IT Officer and Customer Service Representative at The Laminex Group. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as an IT Technical Officer at AECOM, where they supported a complex software environment and led the desktop and helpdesk teams through a consolidation process. In 2014, they joined Mach Technology, where they took on various roles, including Service Team Lead, Project Coordinator, and Service Desk and Field Technician. At Mach Technology, they built relationships with clients and provided ongoing support and account management. In 2020, they joined IntoWork Australia as an IT Systems Administrator and later took on roles as a Senior IT Client Support Officer, IT Service Transition Lead, and Acting IT Manager - Infrastructure and Customer Support. In these roles, they played a crucial role in supporting digital transformation initiatives, optimizing workforce capacity, and promoting team agility and maturity.

Nick Benson earned a Bachelor of Information Technology degree with a focus on Data Communications from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2001 to 2004. Nick also completed a brief period of study in 2000 at the Australian Catholic University, working towards a Bachelor of Information Systems. Additionally, in the same year, they engaged in cross-institutional study at the University of Queensland, studying Introduction to Cognitive Science: Minds and Machines. In terms of certifications, Nick obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance and an ITIL v4 Foundation certification from PeopleCert in 2023.
