James Harrison has a strong work history that spans over two decades. James has held various executive positions in well-known companies. James started their career as an Analyst in Mergers & Acquisitions at Morgan Stanley in 1996. Later, they joined Soros Fund Management, where they worked as an Associate in Private Equity from 1999 to 2000. James then became a Partner in Private Equity at the same company from 2000 to 2004.
Following their tenure at Soros Fund Management, Harrison joined TowerBrook Capital Partners as Managing Director from 2005 to 2007. James then took on the role of CEO at Archimica from 2008 to 2011. After that, they became the Group CEO at Cycle Pharmaceuticals in 2012.
Harrison's career continued to progress as they became a Non-Executive Director at Intract Pharma in 2015. Currently, they hold the position of Non-Executive Chair at Cambridge Oncology, starting from November 2018. Throughout their career, Harrison has gained valuable experience in leadership and executive roles in various sectors such as finance and pharmaceuticals.
James Harrison earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. Afterward, they pursued further education at the University of Cambridge and obtained a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in Chemistry, completing their studies from 1995 to 1996.
