Bill Strout

Bill Strout is the President at Intrepid Direct Insurance. Bill has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Strout began their career in 1996 as an Associate Underwriter at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. Bill then worked as a Commercial Lines Underwriter at The Hartford from 1998 to 1999. In 1999, they joined Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Senior Account Representative and remained with the company for four years.

In 2003, Strout left Liberty Mutual to join Schifman, Remley and Associates as a Sales Executive. Bill stayed with Schifman, Remley until 2009 when they were recruited by RT Specialty/Westrope and Associates to serve as their Senior Vice President. Strout remained in this role until 2015 when they were named President at Intrepid Direct Insurance.

Bill Strout pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus in finance and general studies at the University of Iowa. After completing their undergraduate degree, they received certification from the Insurance Institute of America in Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
