Matt Hoffman

Matt Hoffman, CFA has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Matt currently holds the position of Senior Vice President at Intrepid Financial Partners. Prior to that, they worked as a Vice President at the same company. Before joining Intrepid Financial Partners, Matt worked as an Investment Banker at Parkman Whaling LLC, where they conducted various appraisals and research projects. Matt also performed corporate valuations and completed due diligence on individual companies. Matt was an Associate Director at UBS, where they reviewed transactions and identified talent for recruitment. Matt also had a role as a Consulting Analyst at Palantir, where they supported the build-out of economic planning software and enhanced portfolio analysis software. In addition, Matt gained exposure to the oil and gas industry as a Natural Gas Marketing Analyst at Ultra Petroleum, where they executed trades and established fundamental analysis tools. Matt started their career as a Research Analyst at Pace Global Energy Services, assisting in the build-out of a middle office for risk management. Matt Hoffman, CFA obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rice University in 2009. Matt later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Texas McCombs School of Business, completing their studies in 2016. In terms of certifications, they obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in August 2021. Additionally, Matt holds certifications in Series 79 & 63 from FINRA, which they obtained in 2016, and the GARP ERP Program from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), which they obtained in 2012.
