Robert Barclay

Robert Barclay has a comprehensive work experience spanning multiple industries and positions of increasing responsibility. Robert currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at Intrepid Potash, where they lead the HR and HSE teams and develops strategies to improve business results. Prior to this, they held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at Draper Aden Associates, where they provided strategic leadership to the HR and Corporate Health and Safety teams.

From 2013 to 2020, Robert worked at Discovery Natural Resources LLC as the Vice President of Admin Services & HR. In this role, they led various critical initiatives and managed teams responsible for HR, IT, Corporate Security, and Office Administration.

Previously, at Ovintiv (formerly Encana Corporation), Robert served in multiple HR leadership roles. Robert optimized compensation programs, benefit strategies, and HR policies as the HR Team Lead for the Corporate division. Robert also led HR initiatives for the USA Division, partnering with senior leadership on strategy and governance. Prior to these roles, they managed the HR function for the North Rockies Business Unit and USA Marketing Team.

Robert has early career experience at Medtronic (formerly Tyco Healthcare, LP) as an HR Manager. Robert played a key role in company restructuring, cultural integration, and facility closures, as well as provided consultation on employee development, performance management, and recruitment.

Robert Barclay has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from McGill University. Robert also holds a Masters of Arts degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from the University of Minnesota.
